What Paint Finish For A Front Door?
I’m about to go buy dark chocolate brown paint for our front door and I’m not sure if I should get satin or semi-gloss? I have a french country looking home with dark brown matte wood shutters and the door is wood with 6 glass panes in it. What do you suggest?
Go for the gloss, it will be more durable and give it a subtle visual pop.
It can be fun to make the front door of your home more striking – consider a cola-red rather than a dark brown. This should stand out, but not too much.
the satin will have everything you need in a paint, weather ability, washable etc
unless you like shiney things stay away from gloss or semi gloss…the satin will have sheen enough believe me
