Maybe you could take grape vine you can buy at the craft store, and somehow make a vine valance. It would not be like a cloth valance it would go more with your twig shelves and all. Maybe there are some types of flowers or leaves that you could dry and include them in it. The vines can hang down and you can attach the flowers and leaves. I know this kinda loose interpretation.
