How Do I Restore A Resin Birdbath That Has Cracked?
I want to know if there is a sealer I can put on that won’t affect the birds.

I would go and get a fiberglass epoxy kit from your local auto parts dealer. (A repair kit for fiberglass).
In it you will find Resin and a Hardner.
Mix these two up, and “paint” it on the crack, plus a few inches to either side. (I would suggest using the fiberglass mesh with it too, if it wouldnt detract from the “look” of the thing.
Remember, this epoxy (two parts–>resin & hardner), will set up in ONE MINUTE OR LESS, so you gotta be quick!
Oh, and you wont be able to use that paint brush ever again, as it will harden up like a rock. So, get a couple of cheap 1″ paint brushes for this job.
Paint it on, and you will have no problem with it splitting in that area again and its not poisonous for birds once it cures..
Once it cures, take a hose and rinse the birth bath out a few times, maybe even use a good detergent to clean the entire things out for good measures

Throw it out & get a new one.
Auto or marine polyester resin.
Sets solid and non-porous.
CLEAN ANY LOOSE DEBRIS FROM THE CRACK. MAKE SURE IT’S COMPLETELY DRY. BUY SOME AQUARIUM SILICONE AND USE IT IN THE CRACK IT WILL NOT HARM THE BIRDS. LET DRY AT LEAST 24HRS.REFILL AND ENJOY THE BIRDS.
